Description

Bumbu The Original is a world-class Caribbean craft rum that pays homage to a centuries-old tradition of spiced rum-making. Dating back to the 16th century, West Indies sailors were known to blend native Caribbean fruits and spices with their rum, calling it ‘Bumbu’. Today, that legendary spirit lives on, meticulously crafted at a historic Barbadian distillery founded in 1893, using traditional rum stills that date back to 1840.

Bumbu is made from the finest sugarcane sourced from eight countries across the Caribbean and South America, including Barbados, Belize, Brazil, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guyana, and Honduras. The rum is aged for up to 15 years in Grade A oak ex-bourbon barrels, then carefully blended with all-natural native Caribbean ingredients before bottling by hand.

On the nose: complex aromas of Madagascan vanilla, soft caramel, and toasted oak. On the palate: warm notes of cinnamon, roasted nuts, and allspice, perfectly balanced to achieve a natural mild sweetness and a light, smooth finish. At 35% ABV, Bumbu is a Triple Gold Medal winner at the Los Angeles International Spirits Competition.
